Ice Cream Bread Recipe

I recently posted a picture of my grandchildren on facebook with out weekend project. Yes, we baked Ice Cream Bread. I have had this recipe for years and don't know where it came from. So here it is folks!


Ice Cream Bread

1 pint (2 cups) ice cream softened, any flavor (I used butter pecan!) Do not soften in microwave

1 1/2 cups self rising flour

Stir together just enough so flour is thoroughly moistened (like muffins)

Spoon batter into greased and floured 8 x 4" loaf pan (I used baking spray!

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.

Remove from pan and cool.

Serve with whipped cream and chocolate sauce, or just plain straight! Fruit would be nice.

Delicious toasted.


This is so much fun to make with children, grandchildren and special children friends!
