Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a sewing machine, we prefer for you to bring it with you (as long as you have an instruction book) so that you will be able to use your own machine at home.  We have machines available for those that don’t have one.   We do not rent sewing machines.

Your first pattern is part of your beginning sewing kit.  If we have the next pattern you need in our stash, they are available.  Sometimes we use digital patterns.  You will print these out at home, or take them to an office supply for printing, and we will show you how to put them together.  Students provide their own glue.

No, but we can give you recommendations for several lovely fabric stores in our area.

We do not make up missed classes unless there is a foot of snow on the ground and the school is closed.   If you miss a class, the teacher will help you catch up in the next class that you attend, so that you don’t miss a concept.

Irons, ironing boards, cutting tables, rulers, etc. are available for student use.  Sewing machines are available to students who do not have one. 

Students may bring something to drink, if it has a lid, a snack or lunch.
