We are welcoming in 2021 with our beautiful homemade masks. Through all of this lockdown and phases of covid recovery ALL of our students and staff have remained covid free!!! I feel that this is a major accomplishment of 2020. I really appreciate that the students that have been exposed are staying home for their quarantine. The only way we are going to get to the other side of the pandemic is by being considerate of each other--oh, and getting the vaccine when it is available.
We continue to make masks. So much has been learned about design and layering of fabric for maximum protection. Two layers of fabric and an internal layer of non-woven interfacing seems to be the best. I encourage all of my students to use their favorite fabrics for masks, we will be wearing them for 2021.
