We finally made it!! It's 2021! I hope that this new year finds everyone healthy and looking forward to new beginnings as we slowly get out of isolation.
Our new sewing classes are underway. This week I am meeting new students who are soooo excited about learning how to sew. The teen and kids classes are full and the adult classes are almost at covid capacity. We are still following the Davidson County guidelines for Phase 3. We are wearing our masks, taking temperatures and sanitizing hands regularly. So far all of our staff and students are well. Our health will remain a top priority as I continue to keep everything sanitized in the school.
The school is introducing Simplicity Patterns to our mix of offerings. Our intermediate class is making an unlined jacket from Simplicity #9059. All of our students are excited about this very stylish offering and the 40% off sale at Textile Fabrics for this new project. We will be creating this jacket with lots of darts, bindings, piping and corded buttonholes. Pictures to follow!
